Description
Length is driven by the per-person width allowance along each long side; width is set by the depth needed for a place setting on both sides plus a shared serving zone down the center, not by seat count.
Notes
- The 900–1000 mm width leaves room for plates, cutlery, and glassware on both sides plus a shared centerpiece/serving strip — it does not change with seat count on the long sides.
- In a single-family house with a dedicated dining room, favor the upper end of the length range (2100 mm / 83 in) if the room allows it, for more generous elbow room during full dinners.
