Bar & Counter Stool Footprint
Seat width, seat depth, and footrest position for counter- and bar-height stools.

Reference illustration for a 760 mm seat-height stool at a 1100 mm bar table — dimensions match the values above.
Description
Beyond seat height (see Counter & Bar Stool Height), a stool's width and footrest placement set how many stools fit along a bar table and how comfortable they are to sit in for longer stretches.
Notes
- Backless (saddle) stools let seats sit closer together and slide fully under the bar overhang when not in use; backed stools need extra depth behind the seat to clear the backrest when pushed in.
- A swivel base adds roughly 50–75 mm (2–3 in) of clearance around the stool compared with a fixed base.
